Eerily beautiful. I like the composition and color tones in it. Where'd you find this place, anyhow?

really nice...

how did you achieve this "artificial" / "rendering" look?

It's about 20 minutes from my house (New Jersey). I always keep a lookout for places like this whenever I drive anywhere and usually visit them eventually. I have quite a few images from dilapidated locations, so if you enjoy this, then stay tuned ;)

This is an HDR image - basically it's three exposures of the same image. One over-exposed, one normally exposed, and one under-exposed image. Then I combine them (Photoshop CS2 has a command under the "Automate..." menu to "Merge images to HDR") which brings out the colors in a surreal way.

thanks...I was thinking in this direction.

I'd not much luck in producing enough good matching images for a HDR-merge with my Sony-Camera...but still trying

Absolutely fascinating! Could look at this photo for hours. Great work!

Cool. I love finding things that haven't been seen in [who knows how long]. I dunno, I always feel like I'm doing something wrong when I take pictures in cool places as I travel by or through them.

And if what you say is true, then by all means, :+devwatch:!

Most important, technically speaking, is a tripod and using the same F-stop for each image (to keep the DOF constant). Of course finding a good location with the right weather conditions goes without saying...

Thanks! Stay tuned, more similarly-themed images to come...

Ah, beautiful HDR... it almost looks like a painting. These abandoned places have a melancholy ambience, yet also beautiful.
