Laurence Harbor is actually a pretty crappy part of NJ. The beach is loaded with garbage and I wouldn't swim in the water if you paid me....but under certain lighting/atmospheric conditions it can seem pretty beautiful - kinda like some people =p

Just a couple level adjustments on this one. Nothing special.

Here's a link to a B&W version: [link]

I love the shot. The colors are very good, but there's one thing that bugs me.. The sky.
Tis a very pretty sky, but it doesn't go with the atmosphere at all.

But the rest is gorgeous ^^.

I think I like the B&W version more.

It has more of an eerie, intense look to it.

They're both great photos, though. :)

Hah hah - no you don't, it was pretty horribly actually =p There's so much trash around that there were bugs all over the place. I got bitten up really bad all over my arms and legs just to get a few shots. Next time I'm wearing some bug-repellent ;)

Thanks for the comment :)

Not too much I could've done about the sky, although I am planning on going back sometime while it's overcast/raining to see what kinds of shots that would produce.

Thanks for the comment :)

Thanks :)

Neat composition.
I think this one's one of those that can use gaussian blur overlays (and some detail extraction from the shadows, I've tried it, looks good).
