I used to love coming to this building and wandering around inside it. I remember when I first ventured there -- it was a cold winter day. The air was brisk and the only sounds to be heard were of my feet crunching broken glass, the rustling of the leaves, blowing around inside and the occasional fluttering of wings as pigeons entered and exited from above.
This building no longer exists. It was razed to the ground a few months ago, which saddened me, despite the fact that it had been abandoned for about 15 years and was generally an eye-sore to the rest of the town. Thankfully, I still have a decent number of photos of which to remember it by.
Heh, I try to keep a relatively low-profile when visiting abandoned buildings. I've been escorted off property by the police before, but I've never gotten fined or anything. For the most part if you don't look like you're trying to cause trouble or damage anything, and if you're respectful, they're fairly pleasant.

Taking me seriously may have undesirable side-effects.
Hmm... there IS an old mental hospital just down the road. But I always figured I'd get arrested. And then I realize I'm over 18 and the prospect of getting arrested gets ever so more uncomfortable.
Hahaha, this place looks an odd kind of comfy with all those sofas. Looks like the walls are decorated with drapes and carpets, even though it's just the insulation falling from the walls. The lighting reminds me of some atmospheric club, dark with pools of light highlighting places... Wish I could have explored this building, too!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
